Walkerhill Hotel & Resort announced on Tuesday that it became the first Korean hotel to export kimchi to the United States. The company offers two lines of kimchi: the premium “SUPEX Kimchi” and the standard “Walkerhill Hotel Kimchi.” The export shipment comprises napa cabbage kimchi in 4-kilogram packs and ponytail radish kimchi in 2-kilogram packs, with packaging redesigned for international distribution.

Walkerhill shipped about 7 tons of kimchi in a container bound for the U.S.’ West Coast on September 8th, 2025. The products are scheduled to arrive at a California port around September 23rd, after which they will undergo customs clearance before going on sale.
