South Korean low-cost carrier T’way Air Co. announced on Monday that it will change its name to Trinity Airways next year as part of a broader rebranding effort with parent company Daemyung Sono Group.
The airline plans to leverage the name change to strengthen synergies in bundled products spanning air travel, tourism, and accommodations.
The company said the rebranding will include sequential procedures starting in the first half of 2026 and will extend to a new aircraft livery and an updated brand identity.
It added that the new image will emphasize safety and reliability while creating fresh customer experiences and enhancing the group’s unified image.
The name Trinity comes from the Latin Trinitas, meaning “three becoming one in perfection.” It symbolizes the company’s ambition to go beyond traditional air services and combine travel and lodging offerings to provide customers with richer experiences.
Industry officials expect the rebranding to serve as a starting point for the carrier’s synergy with Daemyung Sono Group, which acquired T’way Air.
The two entities plan to launch integrated packages linking flight routes with hotels and resorts and expand customer benefits through a shared membership program.
