A pencil-type cosmetic product developed by South Korea’s leading cosmetics original design manufacturing (ODM) company Cosmax Inc. has received an award at a prestigious beauty trade show held in Paris.

Cosmax announced on Thursday that its Eco Formelt Pencil won the Full Service category at the MakeUp in Paris 2025 exhibition, which took place June 18–19 in France.

The event, now in its 15th edition, is a business-to-business beauty fair held annually in Paris, Los Angeles, and New York.

The Eco Formelt Pencil is an eco-friendly product designed to minimize plastic packaging. Its outer casing is made of plant-based wax that is safe for skin contact, allowing users to sharpen it without getting residue on their hands.

Cosmax said it plans to use the award to broaden its product offerings within the pencil-type category, leveraging growing demand for hybrid cosmetic formats.

Since 2020, the company’s sales of pencil-type products have grown by double digits annually, with expanded offerings including stick-type shadows and contour pencils.
