EcoPro BM Co., a South Korean cathode materials producer, said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday that its preliminary operating profit for the first quarter of 2025 totaled 2.3 billion won ($1.6 million) on a consolidated basis, down 66 percent from the same period a year ago.

The operating profit fell 29.1 percent short of the market consensus of 3.2 billion won compiled by Yonhap Infomax.

Revenue came in at 629.8 billion won, down 35.1 percent on year, while net loss widened to 10 billion won.
