LG Group’s symbolic LG Twin Towers, a landmark in Yeouido, Seoul, is set to open to the public on April 1, following the completion of a remodeling of the common areas on the lower floors.

The refurbished LG Twin Towers emphasizes connection and features significantly enhanced employee amenities.

According to industry sources on Monday, South Korea’s fourth-largest conglomerate is putting the finishing touches on the construction to renovate the Twin Towers from the first basement floor to the fifth floor above ground, which has been underway since February 2023.

The Twin Towers, where the group’s major affiliates including LG Electronics Inc. are headquartered, were built in 1987 and became a landmark in Yeouido, the financial district in Seoul.

LG Group plans to install an additional bridge connecting the East and West wings of the two skyscrapers to facilitate easy and fast movement.

The conglomerate also plans to set up a lounge near the connecting bridge for employees to relax or socialize.

Employee amenities will also be strengthened.

LG Group plans to open a fitness space and an in-house clinic on the second floor. Additional employee relaxation spaces will be added on the first basement floor, where there used to be a cafeteria and shops.

Plans also include creating a ceiling window that allows sunlight from above ground to brighten and warm the underground plaza. Various employee events will also be held there.

The first basement floor will house restaurants and cafes catering to young people. LG Group selected food and beverage (F&B) brands for the first basement floor through employee surveys. The brands include Osai Sushi, which sells low-priced omakase, and OUR Bakery.

Water features such as fountains will be installed at the main entrance to welcome visitors, while gardens will be set up in outdoor spaces.

The first floor will feature a lobby lounge and meeting rooms, where visitors can exchange business cards and hold brief meetings.
