Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Wednesday that its Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 LTE have tied for the top spot in the latest U.S. Consumer Reports rankings for smartwatches in the United States.

Both devices received an overall score of 92, surpassing the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which scored 91.

According to Samsung Electronics, this is the first time the magazine has awarded “Excellent” ratings across all 11 categories to the Galaxy Watch Ultra since it began evaluating smartwatches.

This recognition marks a notable achievement for the South Korean company in the competitive wearable technology market.

Consumer Reports highly evaluated the Galaxy Watch Ultra for its ease of use, as well as its accurate step and heart rate tracking. The report also highlighted its seamless connectivity with the latest smartphones and convenient charging features.

The Galaxy Watch 7 Bluetooth model also performed well, earning a total score of 90, placing it in a tie for fourth with the Apple Watch Series 9.

Three of the top five smartwatches in the rankings were from Samsung’s Galaxy Watch lineup.

Apple’s latest model, the Watch 10, which was released earlier this month, was excluded in the evaluation.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 were launched globally in July.
