HD Hyundai Robotics announced on Wednesday that it launched its next-generation industrial AI robot controller, “Hi7,” equipped with the company’s proprietary AI-based safety control solution, “SafeSpace 2.0.” The integration of artificial intelligence is designed to improve both safety and scalability in industrial robot operations.

The Hi7 controller uses AI to analyze situational data collected by sensors, enabling it to predict potential hazards and detect movements or impacts. This allows the system to immediately halt robot actions, thus preventing workplace accidents.

In an industry first, the controller incorporates LiDAR sensors into its collision-prevention system, allowing precise object detection and more accurate safety controls.
