
LS Cable & System Ltd. and LS Marine Solution Co. announced on Wednesday that they will participate in the Korea-Japan submarine communication network project (JAKO), led by Microsoft Corp. and Amazon Web Services Inc.
The JAKO project is a large-scale submarine communications infrastructure initiative being promoted by a consortium that includes global tech giants such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Korea’s Dreamline Co., and Japan’s ARTERIA Networks Corp.
LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution officially confirmed their participation in the project by signing an agreement with the JAKO consortium on Tuesday at LS Yongsan Tower in Yongsan District, central Seoul.
