Lotte Duty Free said on Thursday that it signed a strategic partnership with cosmetics maker Kolmar Korea Co. to expand global sales channels for local cosmetics brands.
Under the memorandum of understanding, Lotte Duty Free will offer consulting services to Kolmar Korea’s manufacturing clients seeking entry into its duty-free outlets alongside supporting marketing initiatives across online and offline channels.
The companies also plan to open a “K-Beauty Zone” at Lotte Duty Free’s flagship store in Myeong-dong in 2025, designed as a laboratory-themed space to highlight Kolmar Korea’s technology and feature category-based product displays, collaborations, and consumer events. The space will also be used for brand collaborations and various experiential events.
“We are honored to be working with Kolmar Korea to expand the global market for K-beauty brands,” Lim Hyung-il, head of the merchandise division at Lotte Duty Free, said. “We plan to continue to co-operate with and support K-brands to enhance their competitiveness moving forward.”
