Hyundai Bioland Co., a natural cosmetics raw material manufacturer under South Korea’s Hyundai Department Store Group, is seeing rapid growth in its health supplement distribution business.

The company announced Tuesday that health supplement sales soared to 20.7 billion won ($15.2 million) last year, a fivefold increase from the previous year.

Sales for the first quarter of this year also rose sharply to 6.3 billion won, up 186 percent from the same period in 2024.

Hyundai Bioland attributed this surge to its partnership with Nestlé Health Science, which allows it to operate some 10 premium brands—including Solgar, Vital Proteins, Nuun, and Go Healthy—exclusively in Korea.

Recently, the company opened the world’s first Nestlé Health Science Store at Hyundai Department Store in Mokdong, western Seoul. The store uses advanced information technology (IT) devices to analyze individual health conditions and provide personalized supplement recommendations.

Inside the store, customers can find cutting-edge digital healthcare devices such as the Anura Magic Mirror, which won an innovation award at CES 2024, alongside other equipment that measures body composition, micronutrients, and mental health.

On-site nutritionists also provide personalized counseling on required nutrients and recommended intake based on the health data.

Hyundai Department Store Group plans to launch a comprehensive healthcare platform and aims to grow Hyundai Bioland’s health supplement distribution sales to over 100 billion won by 2030.
