South Korea’s KB Financial Group Inc. announced on Sunday that it attended GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s largest information and communications technology (ICT) exhibitions.
Hosted by the Dubai Digital Authority, GITEX Global 2025 took place from Monday to Friday at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The event brings together more than 6,500 companies, investors, and institutions from over 180 countries, serving as a global stage for showcasing next-generation technologies and industrial trends.
KB Financial Group’s delegation, led by Lee Chang-kwon, head of digital & IT, met with local venture capital firms and investment companies to gain insights into the latest artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, blockchain, and cybersecurity investment trends.
The delegation discussed ways to support the growth of advanced industries and startups and promote technology investment at a joint exhibition booth hosted by Autonomous A2Z, a Korean autonomous driving startup leading future mobility innovation, and Space42, an AI-based global satellite and geospatial analytics company.
The delegation also attended Expand North Star 2025, the largest startup exhibition in the Middle East that took place at Dubai Harbor from Sunday to Wednesday.
It provides fundraising and networking opportunities for promising startups worldwide.
At the event, KB Financial explored potential collaborations with global innovative companies possessing transformative technologies for the future of finance.
“We plan to strengthen our foundation for supporting the commercialization of innovative technologies and global expansion for startups by linking our in-house startup incubation program, KB Starters, with the global startup network built through this visit,” said a KB Financial Group official.
