Cumulative domestic sales of Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy S25 series, the latest in its Galaxy S flagship lineup launched in February 2025, have surpassed 3 million units as of August 1st.

Samsung Electronics said Tuesday that the Galaxy S25 series reached the 3-million-unit milestone over two months faster than its predecessor, setting a record for the shortest time to hit the mark among all Galaxy S series 5G smartphones. The model also achieved the 1-million and 2-million-unit milestones one to two weeks ahead of the previous generation and logged the highest pre-order volume in Galaxy S series history at 1.3 million units.

The company attributed the strong and sustained sales to the popularity of frequently used Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI) features such as Generative Edit, Slow Motion, and Audio Eraser.

Samsung also pointed to the appeal of its new subscription program, which guarantees up to 50 percent of a device’s residual value after one year, as another factor boosting demand.

Meanwhile, its second-half flagship foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, have posted robust sales since their late July launch, significantly outpacing their predecessors.
