IKEA Korea announced on Monday that it will open IKEA Gangdong on April 17th, 2025, in Godeok-dong, Gangdong District, Seoul. This marks the multinational furniture retailer’s first store within central Seoul, as its previous locations have been in suburban areas.

As IKEA Korea’s fifth store, IKEA Gangdong will be located inside “Gangdong I-Park The River,” a mixed-use shopping mall in the Godeok Biz Valley district. The mall will feature a hypermarket, a cinema, and various dining options, with IKEA occupying floors 1 and 2, spanning a total floor area of 58,711 square meters, including parking facilities.

Designed as an urban-format store for better accessibility, IKEA Gangdong is easily reachable via Seoul Subway Line 5 at Godeok and Sangil-dong stations.
