South Korean fried chicken franchise operator BHC Co. said on Monday that it opened its first store in Thailand, as it accelerates its entry into Southeast Asia.

The eatery – located in CentralWorld shopping mall – spans 179 square meters and accommodates 90 seats. Designed with a family-friendly ambiance, it caters to couples and families frequenting the mall.

The menu features the franchise’s renowned spiced fried chickens, alongside local delicacies such as chicken special cuts including cartilage and skin. Responding to the local demand for Korean cuisine, dishes like tteokbokki are also available.

“We aim to strengthen our presence in Southeast Asia with our entry into Thailand, while also eyeing expansion in North America,” the company said.

BHC opened its first outlet in Southeast Asia in Hong Kong in 2018. It operates three stores in Singapore and six in Malaysia through master franchise agreements.

The Bangkok outlet marks its 11th store in Southeast Asia. With one store in Los Angeles, BHC now operates a total of 12 stores across five overseas regions.
