The Korea Pavilion at the Osaka Expo in Japan topped one million cumulative visitors, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) said on Monday.
Opened on the same day as the expo’s launch in April 2025, the Korea Pavilion has been hosting about 30 events, including the Korea Day celebration in May.
Spanning 3,501 square meters, the pavilion features a minimalist architectural design and a large-scale media façade that showcases Korea’s four seasons, cultural heritage, and advanced technology via immersive video displays as part of efforts to highlight the country’s technology and culture.
Under the theme “With Hearts,” a KOTRA official said the Korea Pavilion offers an interactive experience that blends cutting-edge technology with emotionally engaging content, noting continued strong interest from local visitors.
The Osaka Expo opened on April 13th, 2025, on Yumeshima, an artificial island in western Osaka, under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The six-month event runs through October 13th, with 158 countries and international organizations participating.
