South Korea‘s Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are set to unveil a host of new commercial display products and solutions at ISE 2025, Europe’s largest display exhibition, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from Tuesday to Friday.
Samsung has established a 1,728-square-meter exhibition space to introduce its latest innovations, including the ultra-low-power “Samsung Color E-Paper” in four models, an enhanced AI-powered B2B integrated connectivity platform “SmartThings Pro,” new interactive whiteboards, and large-scale signage solutions for luxury stores and building lobbies. The company also installed a massive 462-inch “The Wall” media facade at the exhibition entrance.
The Samsung Color E-Paper employs digital ink technology, consuming zero watts of power while maintaining content display. Even when the screen updates, it requires minimal energy, helping reduce operational costs. The SmartThings Pro platform has been upgraded with AI and automated control features, offering an “Interactive View” function that analyzes registered floor plans with AI and converts them into 3D models.
Samsung is also unveiling an ultra-large 115-inch 4K smart signage display. This model features QLED 4K resolution, a peak brightness of 700 nits, and runs on the Tizen 8.0 operating system. It supports SmartThings Pro and Samsung VXT, enhancing connectivity and usability.
Chung Hoon, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics emphasized the significance of balancing energy efficiency, device management, and immersive user experiences in the commercial display sector, saying, “Our latest innovations, including the near-zero power Samsung Color E-Paper and advanced AI capabilities brought by all the models, showcase our commitment to pioneering new markets and providing transformative business solutions worldwide.”
LG Electronics, meanwhile, is presenting tailored solutions for various environments, including retail stores, offices, schools, transportation hubs, and hotels. At the entrance of its exhibition space, LG has installed a kinetic LED display made up of 88 LED panels, measuring 7.18 meters wide and 4.09 meters tall. Visitors can scan a QR code with their smartphones to generate AI-driven pop art visuals displayed in real time.
Among the key highlights is an upgraded version of LG’s ultra-high-definition Micro LED display, “LG MAGNIT.” The latest iteration features improved LED module alignment, an enhanced LED controller, and significantly reduced standby power consumption—cutting it by up to 98 percent.
LG is also introducing a high-brightness signage display with “Anti-Discoloration” technology to prevent yellowing from prolonged sun exposure. This innovation follows LG’s industry-first certification from UL Solutions last year for display discoloration resistance.
Visitors to the LG booth can also explore various B2B products, including LG’s interactive whiteboards and its all-in-one commercial display management platform, “LG Business Cloud.”
Park Hyung-se, head of LG Electronics’ MS Business Division, highlighted the company‘s commitment to strengthening its B2B market leadership, saying, “We aim to grow alongside our customers by delivering innovative products and solutions that add value to diverse business spaces.”
