Samsung Medison announced on Thursday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Sonography to jointly develop and operate training programs for rehabilitation medicine professionals.
Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate to train rehab specialists and promote the clinical application of ultrasound diagnostic technologies.
The programs will take place at Samsung Medison’s training facility, theSUITE Lab, in Seoul’s Gangdong District. Regular hands-on ultrasound workshops are currently conducted at the site.
The training curriculum covers key joints, such as the ankle and wrist, alongside foot and peripheral nerve areas using the company’s RS85 Prestige and V8 diagnostic systems.
The society said that ultrasound is playing an increasingly important role in rehabilitation medicine and expressed its aim to create an environment where Samsung Medison’s diagnostic systems can deliver positive experiences to a broader range of clinicians.
Samsung Medison said it will work closely with the society to develop targeted solutions and expand its presence in the rehabilitation segment.
