South Korea’s online lender Kbank on Tuesday introduced a refinancing loan that allows individual business owners to switch their secondary real estate-backed loans entirely online.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Kbank announced the launch of a refinancing product under its Business Owner Real Estate-backed Loan program.
In August 2024, the bank had launched a senior loan product, followed by a subordinate loan in September.
The latest product allows borrowers with existing subordinate loans to refinance them. Previously, the process required offline procedures such as document issuance, but it is now fully digital.
A subordinate loan refers to additional borrowing on a property that already has a mortgage or lease agreement with another financial institution.
“This service is designed for busy individual business owners to use conveniently,” said Kim Min-chan, head of Kbank’s corporate division. “The loan can be processed within one to three business days.”
