Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Friday that sales of its Galaxy S25 series – launched on February 7 – have surpassed 1 million units in record time, becoming the fastest-selling Galaxy S series in South Korea.
The Galaxy S25 series achieved this milestone one week earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24, and broke the previous record of 25 days set by the Galaxy Note 10 in 2019 by four days.
A Samsung survey of Galaxy S25 buyers found that the primary reason for purchase was performance, including the latest processor and memory.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, featuring a titanium frame and a 200-megapixel camera, accounted for around 50 percent of total sales, highlighting strong demand for high-performance models.
The most popular color options were Titanium Silver Blue and Titanium White Silver for the Ultra model, while the S25+ and base models saw strong sales in Ice Blue and Silver Shadow.
Samsung attributed part of the sales success to the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club, which offers a guaranteed 50 percent trade-in value after one year and Samsung Care+ smartphone damage coverage.
One in five customers who pre-ordered unlocked Galaxy S25 models subscribed to the program, with 60 percent of subscribers belonging to the 20s and 30s demographic.
Samsung Electronics said that the Galaxy S25 series has been well received for its best-in-class performance, design, and price stability and it will continue expanding sales through various customer benefit programs.
Samsung is also launching a special promotion from March 1 to April 30, offering Galaxy S25 buyers a 10,000mAh wireless charging battery pack for 5,000 won ($3.43), along with six months of free Google One AI Premium subscription.
