South Korean beauty retailer CJ Olive Young Corp. announced on Monday that sales from its cross-border e-commerce platform targeting overseas customers rose by 70 percent in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period a year ago.
The number of orders on Global Mall increased by 60 percent year-on-year during the cited period, while the number of registered members exceeded 3.35 million as of the end of June.
The United States accounted for more than half of the entire sales, contributing over 40 percent of the overall growth.
Sales also expanded in the United Kingdom, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
Global Mall, which hosts 1,200 brands, serves customers in 150 countries who purchase K-beauty products and other items from Olive Young.
Customers in Japan receive free shipping on orders over 3,900 yen ($26.55), while those in the U.S. and other regions enjoy free shipping on purchases over $60.
Olive Young operates Global Mall sign-up kiosks in major Korean stores to support foreign customers after they return home.
About 30 percent of new Global Mall members have signed up through these kiosks.
Olive Young also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with global express delivery company Federal Express Corp. (FedEx) for Korea–U.S. express shipping and logistics services in the U.S. in response to rising global orders.
The signing ceremony was held on July 1 at the FedEx World Hub in Memphis, Tennessee.
“Global Mall’s growth is significant not only for its sales expansion but also for providing small and mid-sized K-beauty brands with opportunities to connect with international customers,” said an Olive Young official. “As a leading K-beauty platform, we will continue to strengthen our global distribution infrastructure.”
